Central banker says skeptical about targeted money emission
MOSCOW, Apr 19 (PRIME) -- The Russian central bank is skeptical about a targeted money emission, Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina told the parliament’s lower chamber State Duma on Tuesday.
“I am skeptical about it as it would be very difficult to administrate a targeted emission so that it does not spiral into inflation,” she said.
“We agreed at a committee meeting yesterday that we will discuss it because the issue of this emission is emerging … We will look into the theory of it and into the practice of other countries, we will discuss this topic thoroughly.”
